Lt. Allen Barham 2nd platoon Ldr. B-Company 502 PIR.
Lt. Barham suffered a compound fracture of his leg on landing in Normandy. He could not stand or move so a member of his stick carried him to a ditch and covered him with his parachute. He lay in the ditch for several days, until being discovered by regular infantry moving inland from Utah. |
