 Capt. Cecil Simmons 

H-Company Commander.

Simmons was H-company commander going into Normandy. He would later take command of Reg. HQ. Company. Cecil was promoted to Major and returned to 3rd Batt. as its EXO under Col. Stopka following Col. Cole's death in Sept. 1944. Simmons would eventually become the last commander of 3rd Batt. after the demise of Col. Stopka in Jan.1945.
